My fingernails have lines of transparency?
-
I bit my nails for 45 years (I'm 48 years old). I stopped a few months ago and am enjoying having nails! However I have noticed that the "white part" of the nail. You know the part that extends beyond the finger, has lines of transparency. At first I thought they were dark lines, but after a closer look, these small lines actually have NO color. I also notice that the lines continue down to the cuticle. Do I have a vitamin deficiency? Why is it like that?

Answer:
If you are not taking vitamin D, try some. I have been taking it and my nails are getting better. This is not an instant fix, it takes months. Good Luck :o))
