What should i do about my rash?

What can I do about my underarm rash?

  • Well I just switched anti-perspirant brands about 2.5 weeks ago. I was originally using Speed Stick for 3 years but I decided I would give another brand a try because it wasnt working that well anymore. I switched to Dove Sensitive Skin because I wanted something mild. Well after 2.5 weeks of using it, I thought the product was fine and I got no irritation, but just recently my right underarm has a slight burning feeling. I think I must have gotten a rash from the Dove. I stopped putting on any antiperspirant on the skin until the rash goes away. Does anyone know something I can put on the rash so it will go away faster? It's a dry and brown spot on the corner of my armpit. The corner of my chest is also burning a little. I haven't changed my soap or anything like that when I changed antipersps.

  • Answer:

Try putting baby powder under your arm and make sure to keep it cool and dry...the more sweat the worst it will get.

You should actually go to a dermatologist. It can be something in over the counter deodorant that you're allergic too. they can either prescribe you some cream for your rash or maybe you need a prescription deodorant. In the meantime, you can put hydrocortizone cream on your rash. You can buy it in any pharmacy or drug store.

My son has to use Sure Unscented...it's the scent that he's allergic to. If it continues, you might check in with a dermatologist.

Ya know, did you shave, then put it on, cause that will do it. try neosporin, witch hazel.

Vitamen E oil will soothe the rash. You need to find another deoderant for sure and not shave for a few days. If after a few days it doesn't start to clear up, see a dermatologist. He will probably prescribe you Lidex cream (a corticosteroid) that helps contact dermatitis. It will clear it up literally overnight with Lidex.

Try an soothing cream like A+D ointment or vaseline.
