Best over the counter topical anesthetic?

What over the counter anesthetic will numb the skin on my cheek?

• Friend is going to be piercing my cheeks to give me dimple peircings but we don't know what over the counter anesthetic will treat outer skin ( the cheeks) she knows how to do piercings she does them all the time but she's only done this once and she can't remember what type she'd used. We know that orajel will numb my inner cheeks but not will numb the outer.

  Lidocaine will work. It is often used in combination with Aloe Vera gel, the green sticky stuff, and it's great for your skin. However, I do not know what is commonly used for numbing piercing pain, sorry.
