What is this rash on me?

I have some sort of extremely painful rash under my armpits, what could it be?

• About a week ago I began to develop a rash under both of my armpits. I used hydro cortisone to help the rash go down, but a couple days later it became like an open wound. The rash became very very painful, burning and stinging at times (mostly at night while sleeping, the pain wakes me up.) It gets pussy at times, sometimes the pus is bloody. It smells horrendous, as if it is rotting. The rash is very raw, like I said it's almost like an open wound. The skin also peels back as if it is being shredded and has a texture of slime. I don't have insurance, so I am trying to avoid the doctor's bill if I can. The only thing that soothes my armpits is hot showers and Vaseline, but neither is helping the rash go down. I can't even move my arms without being in a lot of pain. Here are some things that might be helpful in identifying what this is: I had a rash about a month ago in my right armpit. It was dry and itchy and went away with hydro cortisone within two days, unlike this one it is both armpits pussy, and burns and stings without an itch. Since that rash my armpits have been increasing itchy, especially at night. I would rub hydro cortisone on them and the itch would stop. I changed deodorants about two months ago. I began using different razors about three months ago. I had a piercing three weeks ago. I stayed in a dorm for four days a month ago. And then again this past weekend.

  Sounds like a nasty dose of tinea, a fungus that likes warm and sweaty places. You could try a dust-on tinea cure, or perhaps a cream like Canesten.
