Does Mederma, and Bio oil products really work?

I'm thinking about trying either one of the products. They both are up there in price to me, but I think it's kinda worth it. Sort of leaning on the bio oil to save a few bucks, but if Mederma really works I will pay for it. Which product should I go with, and does it really work that good??? Has anyone used, and seen the results? As the reviews always gives majority good feedback. Do they work?

I don't have personal experience but I've heard that the products will at least lighten up stretch marks a bit, which depending how bad they are, might be worth the money or might not be.
