What does it mean when you have ridges in your fingernails?

I have ridges on all my fingernails,What could this mean?

  • All of my finger nails have raised ridges on them and also white blotches, and my toe nails are starting to turn yellow, What does this mean and should I see the Dr.

Definetly either a vitamin deficiency or a fungal infection. My #1 guess though is the vitamin deficiency.

they always told me it was calcium deficiency...I am now 28, ten years later and it went away. I am fine. Drink milk or something

could be a vitamin and/or mineral deficiency, could be a thyroid disease. yes, you should see a doctor because it will continue to get worse.

Load up on your calcium... my nails have done that in the past to, and that is what my doctor recommended. But just in case, check with YOUR doctor, it may be a sign of something funky goin' on the inside...

You should see a Doctor and get a prescription. My brother's thumb nail was like that and he had a fungus nail. The meds cleared it up.

Ridges means you were sick at that period when they were growing. White spots are need for calcium, and yellow toe nails is a fungus. Good Luck with all that. )O(
