Can you pick the peeling skin from your sunburn?

How can I get rid of sunburn (the peeling part) Quick?

About 3-4 days ago i went to New Mexico and got sunburn and I'm peeling now. Its so gross (The peeling is on my shoulders and top part of my back) I'm going to fire island to visit family in 2 days and i don't want to look like i have dandruff skin... ITS GROSS! Anyway I know your not supposed to pick it but is there any way to make it look at least LESS peel-y

Use a mild moisturizer(less alcohol, the better), it will rehydrate your skin so it won't look too dry and will help get rid of the sunburn faster.
