Why is my eye swollen?

• I bought new mascara the other day, so I put on make up today, and b/c the mascara is waterproof, I bought make-up remover for waterproof eye make-up. So I used that to take it off, then used one of those pre-moistened facial washing cloths from Olay to wash the rest of my face. Then I rinsed my face and put some Olay Regenerist, the Eye syrem on my eye, but I noticed my eye was a little sore from rubbing it too hard trying to get the waterproof mascara off (not wearing that again!), so it was a little sore. Well, I noticed my under eye started to get swollen, so I washed the eye and just put Olay moisterizer. Long story short, my under eye is REALLY swollen, the top lid is a little swollen, but the bottom looks like someone punched me... I can FEEL it when I smile or blink. I've never had something like this happen? Did I have some sort of allergic reaction or something?? Is there anything I should do for it??

  My guess is either you are allergic to something in the eye makeup or perhaps it got contaminated with something during the manufacturing process. Either way, I would not use it again, and probably stay away from eye makeup for a couple of days if you can. Sorry this happened to you ... ME :)
