Is there any way to stop/Prevent Heat Rash?

What can I do to help ease heat rash?

  • Today I just realized that my arms have heat rash on them and the day after tomorrow, I have to attend band camp. It itches pretty badly, and it probably won't be gone by the time I attend camp. I'm going to be outside in 100 degrees, so there's no way that I'll be able to stop from sweating. Any ideas to help ease or help the rash?

I'm sorry, but what's heat rash?

Try some hyrdrocortizone cream. It will help with the itching and if you stop itching it should go away. (This worked when I went to band camp and got heat rash on my legs.) Also wear a lot of sunscreen when you go to band camp. I hope I helped!

The best treatment for heat rash is to provide a cooler, less humid environment. Keep the affected area dry. Dusting powder may be used to increase comfort, but avoid using ointments or creams-they keep the skin warm and moist and may make the condition worse. Treating heat rash is simple and usually does not require medical assistance. Other heat-related problems can be much more severe. Based on a CDC Prevention Guide for Emergencies and Disasters.

Chilled natural Yoghurt is good for heat rash and sunburn, how ever if it hasn't gone by the time you attend band camp try a product called lanacane, it stops chaffing and rubbing and should ease the pain. If all elae fails Ibuprofen will take down the swelling and aloe vera with take out the heat. Hope this helps. Emma
