How do I put up my mosquito net?

I put a torch lighter flame to mosquito bites on my achilles tendon and i cant tell if it helped. Is this bad?

  • It just seems to have burned the skin and when i touch the bites, they just hurt worse than they did before. I'd like to know if burning mosquito bites would actually help and not hinder the process of healing mosquito bites.

  • Answer:

Are you insane? Burning your mosquito bites is completely nuts.

i dont think it helps i think it just makes it worst if i were you id just put cream on it and wait for it to heal naturally

What were you thinking. You have just added a burn injury to site already affected by the bites. Suggest that you don't ever do that again. As for healing you now have double the need for healing. Next time put camomile lotion on the bites.

Try some calamine lotion instead

Who told you to do this? I suggest you "help" him with his mosquito's bites. Yikes.

I've never heard of burning the bites before

You have inflamed the skin even more... Use an anti-itch cream and an anti-burn cream on the area you torched -- hydrocortizone works well, and you could probably skip the burn cream that way. In the future, try not to burn yourself... it's not a good remedy for anything.

at best, that would just replace one annoying thing, itching, with another annoying thing, pain.
