Red Bumps on lower body?

Mildly itchy, red, splotchy bumps all over body?

  • Started getting a few bumps on my back after horse riding Decided to take a hot shower, thinking it must be bugs/dirt/allergy The shower practically pissed off my skin, causing me to get red, splotchy bumps all over my body Not many bumps on my torso Mainly on my arms and legs Arms: Mainly underside of arms...starting to appear on backside of hands...mildly itchy Legs: Mainly on calf of legs, very splotchy and red...Not very itchy..Not to the point of being noticable Please help...Or tell me whats going on... Whats happened to me over the week: On wednesday I went to a friends home for the whole day, ate food that I have eaten before, ate some icicles (Dirty water possibly?) I got diarrhea after dinner, and have been getting mild diarrhea since then On friday I went to a slumber party, there were cats, and im allergic...It wasnt bad, im used to cat allergies, but I had difficulty breathing, so I used my friend's inhaler (Never used one before) On saturday I went riding, everything seemed normal except for the diarrhea attacks On sunday.... The bumps. I kind of feel a fever coming on...Or at least a raised temperature...I dont know. All I know is that Im freaked out from all of this suddenly happening to me, my skin feels hot when I touch it, but in general I feel cold. What is happening? How did it happen? Do the bumps and diarrhea connect to one virus or something? How long will it last? What can I do? Would the splotches die down by tomorrow? Note: Im not allergic to horses Ive dealt with cat allergies before (Except for inhaler) The foods I ate on wednesday were: Mac & Cheese and chicken On Friday I got my period (If that has anything to do with it) When I went to riding today, I wore a fairly new shirt, but Ive worn it before and nothing happened What is going on?

What your experiencing is hives! I had the exact same problem about a month ago and freaked out because I thought I had the chicken pox. You definitely had an allergic reaction, or two. The diarrhea is probably an allergic reaction to something new that you ate. You're body is trying to rapidly get it out of your system so it's using up the water you have in your body to push it out as quickly as possible, hence the diarrhea. The best advice I have to prevent anything serious becoming of that is to drink lots of fluids. Diarrhea dehydrates the body and can leave you feeling very weak. As for the hives, this was either another allergic reaction to the same food, or a reaction to something you touched horse back riding. My best advice is to use ice for the time being to stop the itching and buy some aloe vera gel. It will provide relief from the itching and also make the swelling go down. You should visit your allergy doctor and tell him/her about the allergic reactions, he may be able to run some tests to see what's causing them. Feel better! <3 Cara

Sounds like a case of Hives and an allergic reaction to something. If things get out of hand go see a doctor. Have you had an allergy test done? You'd be surprised about the amount of things that you may be allergic to. Anything could have caused this. Sometimes we think we have all of the bases covered, but unless you know everything you are allergic to you really don't know.

For a while I broke out from hives with cheese. I can no longer eat any kind of cheese. A few years ago, I broke out in hives all over, also, with any kind of pork and beef. I stopped eating those thing for several months, and I can handle beef again now, but I really have to watch my pork exposure still. I break out from soaps, detergents sometimes - but especially with fabric softener. I will break out in hives from cat and dog saliva (if they lick me directly on my skin, I get hives. Then I have an asthmatic reaction.
