Why is acne so hard to get rid of?

  • It will not go away, I've had it for 4 years and not even the dermatologists I've seen could help. I mean why?

    I've had acne for 10 + years now, and I'm an esthetician LOL! I eventually had to go on hormone replacement therapy because the high testosterone levels in my body were causing my acne. Acne forms for many reasons: allergy reaction, adolescent hormone fluctuations, adult hormone fluctuations, diet, skincare regimens.., the list is endless. If you are well into your 20s and still have bad bouts with acne, then you should go to your doctor and have them do a blood test to check your hormone levels. If your levels are normal, have them run an allergy test (also a blood test and skin monitoring test.) This will help narrow down why you are having acne issues. Chances are, it is hormonal because you say that not even a derm can help you. I'm assuming that topical ointments aren't doing much good? In that case, you need to be treated, not from the outside, but from the inside.., in which case your primary care physician can help you. Trust me, I have access to the most high-end skincare products and peels, and medical skincare machines, and STILL I could not clear my acne. I finally had to see an endocrinologist to help me, and my acne ended up being a symptom of a completely different condition that needed to be addressed before my skin could finally clear up :)

eat more fresh greens, less meat, less sugar, healthy spring water - seek a healthy blood pH and test your pH regularly. get a variety of plant based minerals, etc. good luck

Acnes a pain to get rid of regardless, I got rid of it up until I gt pregnanct and then it comes back and goes away, one thing I can tell you is Mousterze (speling!) But overly dry skin is prne to break outs due to the fact that when skin gets to dry it c,reates those poor clogging oils to rehydrate and bam pimples, so hydrate secnd stay away from fast fixes like pro active it contains bleach wich yeah kills the bacteria but once u stop using it the acne comes right back for a visit...keep h6drated stay away from sweet fatty foods as well as avoid constantly touching your face, if all else just accept the genes you have might just take a bit to get over sad but true :/

Sometimes you just have to wait. When ur an adult usually it will go away by itself. Not all products are for everyone. Just keep ir face clean and use soap to wash ur face gently but thoroughly everyday

4 years? wow i would say go to a skin doctor but you already have been to one. well first off acne is also know as pimples first pimples are made when your pores (were your sweat comes from) get clogged and then the pore swells a little and then a little bit of skin dies on the very top that causes white heads. the reason its so hard to get rid of pimples(for guys) is because we work out alot and do physicall stuff alot so we are sweating alot and getting dirty ;D for girls they are usualy doing certain things and there pores get clogged from objects in the air but over all if your out side alot and get dirt on you thats why over all pimples are a pain in the a** plus im 14 so i would know -.-

These things help me, Stop eating: Chocolate, Peanuts, and Mayonnaise. Before you take a shower rub toothpaste on your face for 5 min. Then rinse off

Stop picking them, and keep ur face very clean and oil free. Wait for puberty to end.

i shave and my razor cuts them off. it hurts to put on aftershave, but it helps
