How do you reduce sunburn redness?

  • So, who else burns like a sheet of paper with lighter fluid all over it in the sun? On to the real question- does anyone know any good ways to calm down sunburn? My face is red as a baboon's backside and I'd rather not go to work tomorrow and be mocked if I can help it.

    Hi, Aqueous cream is very good, it put's back the moisture in your skin,and takes the heat away. i very first used it abroad it was called Aquathenol, but Boot's sell it normally it's under the counter so you have to ask for it, it's not very expensive around £2.50.

its a burn so you should not put anything on it but running water, stand in a cold shower for as long as you can, in future use sun block and stay pasty white

The best thing for it is aloe vera. Try to get the 100% aloe vera gel. Apply every few hours. It cools it and helps your skin recover quicker.

Get your self a tube of Johnsons baby moisturiser in the white tube cost about £1.60 and put lots on 2 or 3 times a day, avoid anything that has perfume in it for about 1 week, only use a very mild soap such as Johnsons baby soap.
