How do I tighten my elbow?

Wife has rash on the inside of elbow, where you would draw blood?

  • Mife wife has a rash on the inside of her elbow, in the crease where you would draw for blood. It's about 4 inches round and is moving from one elbow to the other. One day it was on both elbows, three days later just one elbow. Now it's getting better on one elbow, and showing up again on the other elbow. The 4 inch round rash looks like a burn, but not blistered, just that her skin looks raw, and red. The elbow thats getting better at the moment is still reddish, but very dry. I don't know if it matters but we are stationed in Europe at the moment. When I say elbow, again I'm talking about the inside of her elbow joint, where you would draw for blood.     Boy, it's hard to pin down a cause without seeing it. The inside of the elbow (antecubital space) is a great place where heat rash and other skin irriatations like to congregate. It can be moist and warm there when you bend your arm. It could be some weed blowing around or other environmental thing. If it is not all over the body, that tends to (but not always) rule out an allergy to a food or medication taken. Another possibility is a new soap or detergent being used. You can try some over the counter benedryl creme or hydrocortisone cream and see if that helps. If not, or if it becomes painful, better see a doctor.

I used to get that all of the time, usually in the winter when I would be wearing long sleeves and scratchy sweaters. But exactly in the same place- inner elbow. It is really uncomfortable and itchy. My doctor said it was a condition called Excema and I just rubbed cortizone cream on it a couple times of day and it would be gone. But the doctor can prescribe something stronger if you wish. Cortizone seemed to always work pretty quickly for me.

Sounds like she's repeatedly coming into contact with something she's allergic to. Has she recently changed any skincare or laundry products? Those would be the most likely suspects. If you have access to Benadryl Spray, try that. It works much better than the cream on areas where you perspire, such as the crook of the elbow. Hope she feels better quick.

It could really be a number of things. Just because your wife has a rash in the same place as someone else, doesn't mean it will be the same thing. I think you should send her off to the dr's I had a rash that started on my finger, then went to my face. People thought it was contact dermatitis maybe excema it turned out to be stress related... he gave me cream for my hands and pills for my face. It's best to get it sorted out now, it could get worse.

I'm guessing they are small dots? It sounds to me like dry skin. Have her use triple antibiotic cream on it and see if that helps. If you don't see a change in a few days I would have her see a Dr.

Excema is what that sounds like i knew a friend that had this and what your describing sounds pretty close tell her to go to the doctor and he should be able to prescribe something
