OK. My dear, first...you must understand that different people are made up in different ways. You are special, just the way you are! Your problem is probably a combination of many different things going on. First, shaving in it's self is irritating to the skin, and could quite possibly be a result of "razor burn". But more than likely and knowing that you have thick, dark hair, I would say that it is more like "infected hairs". Here is my suggestion. After bathing, before you dry off, and while you are still wet, take some baby oil and put it all over your legs and body (do this outside of the bathtub or shower please, as you could slip and fall). Then towel dry. Do this every time you bath or shower. Every night, before bed put a really good lotion on your legs, such as Palmers Coco Butter (you can get at Wal-mart or any Rite-Aid, CVS or Walgreens). I recommend the kind in the jar. Try and get a little sun on your legs as well, either from the real sun, or the tanning bed....trust me this will help....but be very careful and do not overdo it, and do not let your skin get "sun burned". The sun is good for your skin too. It also makes your skin very beautiful...you just need to take care, and do not over expose yourself. Also, if any of your bumps get pussy-like with a white head or become sore, a little dab of triple antibiotic ointment will help a lot! Hope this honest answer helps. By summer, you should have beautiful legs that you will be proud to show off in shorts!

The red bumps are probably a form of razor burn. try shaving using a shave gel that contains aloe and then put cool aloe gel on your legs about 10 minutes after shaving. that usually helps keep my razor burn at bay anyhow. hope it helps!
