"hi" (I'm back)

benzyl peroxide or salysic acid wash and retin-A cream.... see a dermatologist..

dove soap, no antibacterial or deodorant soaps. Benzoyl peroxide 2-3 times daily and Retin A, (Rx). Have to use continuously, on before face powder or makeup and at night. wash your hands, limit touching them if you can. Salycilic acid works, too. Topical meds are drying and RetinA increases exfoliation, so, skin is red/burns abit and flakes like a sunburn the first few weeks, but you continue to use it. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid(main ingredient in several acne meds) can be bought at walmart, generic works just as good. Also, antibiotics from doc.

Proactiv works and cocoa butter

I use Proactiv [their sensitive skin formula]. It works pretty well if you're able to commit to washing your face, applying a toner & a cream nightly (or twice a day). Its $20-$45. I find if I use it, I see results... but personally, once I get my period my skin still will flare up a little. If you notice on or around your period your skin gets worse, you might want to go on birth control. I don't know how old you are, but if its going to be a problem parent-wise, let them know the reason. If you're ALREADY taking bc, try the YAZ brand pills, that's especially supposed to be helpful with problem skin. Also, do you wear make up? Don't wear anything heavy or oil based. Proactiv offers their own line of foundations & powders, but I haven't tried them. If you do wear make up, lighten the amount you wear. I add a large amount of moisturizer to my foundation. I noticed a lot of improvement when I gave my skin a break a few days a week and went without makeup. Aside from that..... try not to touch your face throughout the day, wash your hands more, switch to an anti-bacterial soap [for hands AND body], AND DRINK MORE WATER!
