What is plasma cutting?

What gases/fumes are given off during Plasma cutting (using an Oxygen feed) of aluminum?

I worked for a company that used 2 large CNC plasma cutters with oxygen feeds on an indoor process. There was no ventilation provided and they were run at 1000+V for 8 hour shifts. I just wanted to know what gases may be given off that are harmful over short/longterm exposures. I worked there for a year and some months of constant exposure to this...

Toxic Fumes,all are bad for humans and animals.Typical big business,no concern for the safety of the workers,it is not cost effective as they see it.Call OSHA and report them.
