Do I have bad breath if I have tonsillitis?

Question about tonsillitis ?

• I that tonsillitis and i told the doctor (well wrote i couldn't talk) i was bring up brown stuff but the more i look at it the more it looks like blood, but don't get me wrong Ive had tonsillitis 3 days now and Ive only brought it up twice, I'm 18 i don't smoke and i don't drink often, i dont know if this is irrelevant but i had a really bad cause i couldn't breath right and when i swallowed saliva it was extreme agony i even cryed most times i just spit some where, im better now i'm on antibiotics and T3s and codeine :) anyways i just wanna know if the blood thing is really anything i should look in to ?

  Hi Amanda, Severe tonsillitis can cause a little bleeding but it is nothing to be worried about. You have done all the right things. You have seen a doctor and are taking the prescribed medications. Keep it up.
