Does anyone suffer from a constant sore throat?

Sore throat for 6 days with no other symptoms? Best answer 10 points!?

  • So I began having a mild sore throat six days ago. It hasn't gotten much worse or better. I don't have a fever, runny/stuffy nose, watery eyes, muscle aches, cough...etc. My throat is worse during the night and in the mornings. I do suffer from post nasal drip and tonsil stones. Allergy season is over unless they could still be present during the late fall. In my case, the allergy would have to be rye grass according to skin prick. I've tried doubling my doses of vitamin c and nothing works. It's not severe but it's definitely causing discomfort. I feel that 6 days for a sore throat is long. Most of my sore throats would last 3-4 days especially if it's a cold or flu. I just pulled out a tonsil stone from my throat yesterday but I don't think that would be the culprit of the pain as I've had tonsil stones for as long as I can remember and never experienced a sore throat associated with them. Does anyone know what this may be? I'd greatly appreciate any answer. Thanks in advance.

  • Answer:

Allergy season doesn't really ever end for many people and if you have a history of allergies and post nasal drip, that's probably why your throat has been sore. Replace your humidifier and see if that helps. I suspect it will.
