I'm looking at attending the University of Oregon. These are the following jobs I would consider being -Pharmacist -Veternarian The main things I'm asking? - What major(s) I need to become a pharmacist? -What major(s) to become a veternarian? -What degrees needed? - What kind of jobs are there resulting from studying medicine? Overall, I'm very interested in the field of Medicine and would like to work alongside this....Really any job involving medince or pets and vacines is sooting to me! Thankkksss!:)

  • Answer:

When there aren't any specific majors meant for your field of interest, you want to major in the closest thing that you can find. For you, you should probably major in Biology or Chemistry and make sure that you meet all of the premed requirements to get into med school. (Btw, premed isn't actually a major. It is just a term used for prospective med school students that are taking all of the required classes.) Biology as a major is the most common premed student major, mostly because it also requires the majority of the classes needed for med school.
