Using an old inhaler is not a bad thing. It's not life threatening or anything. The problem with using an expired inhaler, is the chemicals and stuff in it do not work properly. It's not effective and is basicly usless. I recomend getting a new inhaler, especialy if you need it for a sport or something, so it will work the way it should.

Well I would say the problem is its called an rescue inhaler for a reason. You use it if you can't breath. If its an emergency and the expired inhaler isn't working properly it could be life threatening. The people who say there isn't much problem have never needed one badly. Get you doctor to write you a prescription for a new one right away. You may never need it but it only takes one emergency and it could be a problem. Better to never need it and have it then use it and it not work. Have a nice day.

that it either wont work at all or will work at a much lower level of medication which means if it is your emergency medication it may not stop the flare from progressing.
