How harmful is mold to small children and a pregnant woman (and unborn baby)?

  • We just found out we have a HUGE mold problem in our little kids bedroom. It was in the mattresses, on toys, in the moulding on the floor, everywhere! I clean once a week but never noticed it until this weeks deep cleaning. I never thought to look under mattresses and behind dressers! Both my kids developed bronchitis about 2 weeks ago. Could the mold have been a cause? Also, Im about 6 1/2 weeks pregnant and I had to be the one to clean it up and dispose of the moldy furniture. What are the dangers to my unborn baby? Our land lord is on vacation, imagine that! and can't come until next week to look at it. Until then, I have cleaned the room and taken all moldy things out of the house. I don't plan to let the kids back in that room!

    Of course that was the cause , yes it's extremely dangerous for babies , it can cause asthma which is even worse so make sure you get rid of the mold as fast as possible , sun light helps
