What is your best hot toddy recipe?

Recipe for a Hot Totty(Toddy)?

  • My hubby and I have both been sick with a cough for almost two weeks now. We went to the doc and they said we'd just have to get thru it with the regular cough syrups and decongestants. We are on Zpak antibiotics, but don't seem to be helping with the cough. Please let me know if anyone has the best Hot Totty recipe for me....we are desperate for a good night's sleep! Thanks.

    Jack Daniels and Ginger Ale. Fill with desired amount of both liquids put in microwave for 1 min 20 sec. Sip on that! I dont know if that is what you are looking for but that is one of my recipes when I get sick

I still live in a town where moonshine is available (where it is not, use PGA). About a shot of the shine, crush up soft peppermint stick to a fine powder, place in the shine (or PGA), add 1 teaspoon of sugar and mix well. Swallow down entire drink w/o stopping. I have an allergy to dextromethorphan which is used in just about every cold medicine there is. The mixture above might make even the most stout person drunk as a skunk, but the medicinal properties outweigh that. Just go to sleep and let it work, you can feel it easing up on the chest congestion and that will ease up on the cough. Hope ya'll feel better soon.
