How do I get rid of post-nasal drip?

How do i get rid of my post nasal drip? please help me!?

• hi there, i have had sinus post nasal drip for over two years now and i absolutley hate it! i have it so bad that iam at least coughing the junk up 200 times a day. coughing it up makes my throat hurt really bad. ive tried everything. the drainage get into my stumach and makes me sick. i have tired the netti pot system, claritin, zyrtec, mucas d, and much more and nothing works not even gargling with salt water or baking soda. at school i am constantly clearing my throat and i can tell its gets on everyones nerve please help! for the person who gives me something that works and i find it successful i will thank them kindly, reccomend them, vote as best answer, and give them alot of points. pleaseee help me! thanks :)

  with no other answers at the moment, I thought I would throw out one little idea. For anything to do with colds and allergies, like when I feel my head/sinuses filling up or that tickle in my ears or the back of my throat, I use Oil of Oregano. I put 5 drops into a shot glass and add a little water. Gargle and swish before swallowing. Sometimes I do this a few times a day when it is a stubborn problem. So far, I have had good results. My neighbors says the key is making sure you don't buy the really cheap versions, so ask at a health store for advice on which one to get. Some people put a couple drops directly under their tongue, but it is rather "spicy" and tastes better mixed. DO NOT confuse it with the essential oil...it is too pure and could seriously hurt you. Another alternative I've heard of is a cayenne pepper nasal spray. I haven't used it myself though. But in the interest of trying everything, I thought I would mention it. Also at the health food stores...at least it is in Canada.
