How can I keep my cold from turning into a sinus infection?

I've managed to catch a horrible cold, AGAIN.. my third this season. The other two have ended in visits to the doctor for antibiotics, as they have turned into horrible sinus infections. Right now, I am taking it easy, drinking plenty of water, taking Mucinex DM religiously, and using my NetiPot. I've been drinking warm green tea with honey every couple of hours, and tried showers/baths to help break up the congestion. What else can I do to help prevent this cold from switching over to the dreaded sinus infection, and another $100 doctor visit?

honestly tht is what you shouldbe doing some fruit can help drink plenty of juice and allergies can turn into sinus infection also there has been a study saying that the NetiPot can cause brain damage
