How do you get rid of a persistent cough from a cold?

How can i get rid of my cough and cold ?

  • i have had a cough for for about 4 days now and a cold but i need to get rid of it in a day i have had 2 days of school i have had long baths used vapor rub buttercup syrup i have put boiling water in a bowl and put a towel over my head but i still cant get better please help me out :)

    you're doing all the right things but it takes more than a couple of days. just keep doing all those things and wear a hat ad scarf when outside

A cold can last for 5 days,but don't be such a baby,you can go to school with a cold,you are only sneezing and coughing,take some paracetamol and off you go.

Something that works for me is having a steam or sauna which cleans out the germs, etc.
