Answer:
Concentrate of getting good GCSE grades- particularly Math and Sciences. You then need 3 A levels, preferably Chemistry, Physics, Math or Biology. You need AAA grade. Some universities may accept AAB, but to be honest, competition is high so it's unlikely. You also need some relevant work experience and you will need to sit the UKCAT. If you are accepted, you can start at 18. It's a 5 year medical Degree and then the foundation year and about another 4 years to specialise.

Be afraid, be very afraid before you decide to take such a worrying course. I would take it a little more slowly if I were you, if you have decided to be doctor, good luck, but to be honest medicine is a merciless and cruel taskmaster. You will want 8 good GCSEs and 3 very good science A levels, 5 years at university/medical school and 2 years pre-registration. Once you do qualify take a good look at all the specialities and sub-specialities that are available to you within the field. There have been and are a few great GPs, however the pressure of paperwork and the sheer force of numbers of patients that expect to see each GP leads far too many to become pen-pushers who will do anything to get the patient out of the surgery quickly, no matter how inaccurate the management. If you decide to be a GP and you want to be a good one, practice good medicine and don't allow the slapdash ways of your older colleagues to lead you into their ways.

Biology and Chemistry are really helpful, as is Mathematics if you study Statistics. Increasingly universities are recognising that an aptitude for study is probably more important than the topics you study. If your school has a careers adviser I'd recommend you have a quick conversation with them as sometime they may have links to local institutions e.g. GP surgeries or hospitals - there is no substitute for sitting in with a GP to learn more about what it would be like to be a GP

It takes years of study to become a GP. You should probably start with science, biology, maths, English.
