How to get your voice back and how does coughing affect losing your voice? [please read all]?
-
I either have bronchitis or strepp throat. I almost went to the er this morning because my throat swelled up or something and I couldn't breathe. I've been taking prednisone. My parents used to give me it when I was little. And drinking green tea. I've had a REALLY bad cold for over two weeks and my voice has been gone for about two days now. I absolutely HAVE to get my voice back for work tomorrow. I already know not to talk. But, I've been coughing nonstop [which is what started all this in the first place and has prevented me from sleeping for three days now]. Does coughing have the same effect as talking/whispering when trying to get your voice back? What else can I do to help get my voice back before my 10am shift tomorrow? I can't seem to stop coughing.

If it doesn't come back tomorrow, stay home.
