How Long Will My Ear Infection Last?
-
Hello, Unfortunantly on Christmas Day I developed an ear infection. Christmas Eve my ears felt a little funny and then the next day my right ear felt swollen. So on Monday I went to the doctor's and when she looked into my right ear she was suprised I could even hear out of it cuz its so swollen. She put me on Flonase, Sudafed, and Azithromycin. My ear also felt hot and itchy before I fell asleep last night. Is that a sign its healing or what? I haven't had an ear infection since I was a baby......

Answer:
The heat and itching you feel is your body trying to kill of the bacteria that you have. By the time you read this you should be well on your way to having you ear infection almost cleared up. Stay on the medication as long as the doctor prescribed it so you will not get a recurrence of the infection
