What was this kind of pain?

What kind of virus is going around that gives you chest pain and backaches? And slight upset stomach?

  • It's back pain with slight upset stomach and chest pain. Back pain and chest pain on both left and right sides. Stomach ache was worse before but not so much now. No sneezing or coughing, no fever, no sore throat. So, what kind of weird virus is it? For my mom it's her lowerback, but for me it's my upper back. When I breathe deeply to catch my breath it's worse, also when I twist bend or sit too straight. So, please point us in the right direction, what is this?

    Nothing to do with virus, Your mum and you are not having an infection. Possibly it is heartburn, it is not a disease and has nothing to do with your heart. It is a discomfort in the upper digestive tract. Irritation of lower oesophagus caused by stomach acid spilling into it. Measures to take are : Elevate the head of the bed by 4" to 6" Don't bend over, lie down or exercise immediately after food Avoid wearing tight pantyhose, girdles, bells or pants. Lose weight if you are over weight. Stop or at least cut down on smoking. Reduce caffeine and alcohol intake. Take proper diet, best to have 5 to 6 small meals a day. No spicy, fatty and oily stuff, including chocolate. That is the best I can help, take care and good health.
