WHat are the chances I have contracted HIV?
-
In Japan my friend took me to a brothel as a surprise. He paid for the girl and everything. I thought it was just a massage parlor with a possible happy ending. Before I knew it she put the cherry sented condom on along with some ky jelly and we had a 5 min sex session. Ever since that day I have been scared i contracted something or even worse contracted HIV. What are the odds I contracted Hiv? Thanx in advance to all who anwser my question!

Answer:
If you used a condom, and it did not break, your chances of getting HIV are extremely low. However, you could have gotten herpes if she had genital herpes. Since most STDs have no symptoms, the only way to find out if you are infected is to get tested. It can take some time for STDs to show up on tests. Most people would test positive within 3 months after they got infected, but in very rare cases, it could take up to 6 months for someone to test positive.

well if you were wearing a condom and it didnt split then you cant catch any std's etc... genital warts is the only thing that a condom cannot prevent (obvs only if the person you had sex with had them) xxx

Chill out and enjoy the memory. If you had a condom on, it didn't break, you didn't get HIV. Besides, if you were in a brothel, I bet the girls were cleared of any STD's before you got lucky.

I would look more into HPV. However if you are truly scared that it is HIV, some of the above answers will help you out.

After you had sex with her did you get a fever, swollen glands, feel nauseous or abnormally lethargic. These are all early signs of HIV and for people who exhibit these symptoms they will appear a short time after sex interaction with an HIV positive person and will last for about 2-3 weeks. However some (and this could be you) don't show any symptoms even early symptoms for years after contracting HIV and spread it because they don't know they have it. I would wait a week or so and get tested if the test comes back negative get tested in another 6 months just to be sure. I hope this helps :] and I really hope that all turns out okay

Assuming the condom was fully intact and there was no other form of sexual contact (oral, digital penetration) that you did not mention, it's unlikely you would have contracted HIV. There would have to be some form of contact with a bodily fluid and an exposed opening or cut.

The chances are slim and the type that may happen which i am not saying it will are very treatable so don't get worried but a condom can't stop everything be careful

If that "sex session" was just you f'ing her, you didn't get infected. I'm quite sure of it, so don't worry.
