Can you get brain amoeba like this?

I got water up my nose, what are my chances of getting amoeba?

  • Ok so I was drinking Nestle Pure life bottled water, and my niece was in front of me and she squeezed the bottled which caused water to come up and it got into my nose. I didn't go all the way up my nose, only a little bit. But I read brain eating amoeba occurs when you get water in your nose. Could it get to my brain from water slightly getting into your nose? Also is amoeba in bottled water?? The water was a little cold because it was in the refrigerator but it wasn't really cold.

    The chances are very, very low. Especially in purified water, the chances of having the amoeba parasitize you is next to nothing. You have nothing to worry about.

Uh.....so this is bottled, filtered water than you can drink, but if it goes up your nose, it becomes a brain eating amoeba. Huh. Makes perfect sense to me. :p
