How to get rid of a common cold?

  • i have a common cold, sneezing and runny blocked up nose we are going to school in a day and i really want to get rid of it quick and easy? i have vitemin c tablets and thats it any homemade recipes or tips? please? thanks for your help x

    Unfortunately, we haven't yet found a cure for the Common Cold, but I recommend taking plenty of Vitamin C. As for your blocked nose and sneezing, my mother always does this thing with boiling water and it works like a charm every time. Here's what you do: You fill a pot with water, and then boil it until it's bubbling. Then you put Vicks in the water - just mix it in. Now, place a towel over your head and just inhale the smell. Make sure you have tissues handy because you will need to blow your nose a lot. This should clear up the block.

No one has yet found a cure for the common cold but modern remedies can eliminate virtually all the symptoms...go for a cheap generic on from your local chemist. Eating oranges is brilliant not only for the vitamin C but also to take away all that nasty tastes and bad breath. Getting the sun on your face and fresh air... even if you have to do it sitting wrapped in a blanket. Avoid dairy products as they tend to make you more mucusy (not the proper word I know) all phlegm and snot. In olden times people said feed a cold and starve a fever.

Ok there is no cure, but there are things you can do to clear it up faster. Drink a lot of luke warm water, take a lot of naps. And try taking a few panadol cold and flue. That worked for me when I took it.

Take rest.Drink plenty of water though ur nose is running.Green tea.If very sever then take levocetirizine and use a inhaler sometimes.

you cant, we have yet been able to cure a virus. A hot toddy or chicken soup may make you feel better though.
