How do you know if you have the flu?

How do I know if I have flu if I never get any temperature or headaches?

• I know that the main symptoms of flu are very high temperature and headaches. But when Im sick, I my temperature never gets above normal. It even is a little lower than average. And I have never had any headaches in my life. So how do I know if it`s flu or just common cold. I cough and feel really bad, my head feels heavy and I`m tired.
