What underlying health issues would count when getting the Swine flu vaccine?

please read the study data. i am a scientist at johns hopkins and have read the data because, like you, i wondered if it was tested properly. and let me tell you, this vaccine is extremely safe, was tested on thousands and thousands of people including pregnant women and kids. it was testing way way more than the regualr flu shot!!!! please trust me or look at the data for yourself www.clinicaltrials.gov. as for your question, no you do not have an underlying disease where you would need it. those people could possible suffer if they do not get the vaccine, you on the other hand, will just get the flu.

Any chronic health problem can leave you susceptible to experiencing complications were you to get any flu virus. I have multiple sclerosis with dysphagia (difficulty swallowing). I choke quite often and am at an increased risk for developing pneumonia. Essentially, anyone who has a chronic medical condition is at an increased risk for complications, no matter one's own personal views. You may see yourself as "normal", medically speaking, but that doesn't mean you won't have problems if you get the flu. Where have you heard about side-effects to the H1N1 vaccine? When my husband and I got our shots, we did experience some tenderness in our arms where we got the needle and we both felt tired the next day but that was about it. Other people I know who have had the vaccine have had similar experiences and there has been nothing mentioned about any serious side-effects in the news. Have you heard otherwise? If so, where? The number of times you got the flu or the flu shot is irrelevant to the personal threat that is out there. The fact is that the swine flu is circulating and it's making people sick. The fact, too, is that there is a vaccine that can help to protect you. Granted, most people who do get sick with the swine flu experience what are termed "mild" symptoms but even that is really nasty compared to not getting sick at all. I would advise you to speak with your doctor about your concerns over the efficacy of the H1N1 flu shot. You are perfectly within your rights to ask questions about the risks to your health but I would hope you would keep an open mind as you have quite certainly expressed your doubts about the H1N1 vaccine. Your doctor is really the best source of information and not just opinions, yes, including mine.

I hope I do not offend you by saying the following. You could indeed be a legitimate asker of this question. But this information is so easily obtained, I have to wonder if you are a pharmaceutical executive drumming up concern so people buy your vaccine and drugs. I will not attempt to convince you either way, just give you some facts that I have come into myself after doing hours of research on both sides of the coin. First, this vaccine has not been reported as giving any bad side effects to anyone to date including pregnant woman and children under 18. Next, it would have helped to know what symptoms you suffered from the 2 times you had the annual flu. This info would have been useful in helping you to know exactly how hard you get the symptoms of the annual flu, bearing in mind that the swine flu symptoms will be twice as hard with added vomiting and diahrrea. These two alone can render a person weak within days from dehydration and can weaken anyones immune system within the same amount of time too. Please reconsider your health issues. The person that advised you to ask your doctor first and foremost was right on the mark. Your doctor knows you and whatever health problems you have now and from your being a premature baby. Please consider this advise before making up your final answer either for or against getting this vaccine. My opinion doesn't really add into yours as I have COPD and not getting it can end up being my death sentence within days as this is a respiratory illness and will strike any weakness in the respiratory system, including asthma, so you really need to find out where you stand with your asthma and your problem with your lungs as to whether you can survive a bad hit from the swine flu itself. Although the previous 2 writers suggested the safety of the vaccine I oppose it. Ill tell you why, first of all the WHO (world helath organization) was supposed to have the vaccine distributed to everyone by know but there were some complications because they found that the vaccine actually caused people to have a higher risk of contracting the regular flu. The second thing is the ingredients that are placed in the vaccine such as fermaldihide, mercury etc. These are harmful to the human body and kids under the age of two are very succeptable to autism if they get the vaccine. Clearly the H1N1 is a rushed vaccine that should not be distributed

I would never get it myself, Simply for the fact that There have been little to no clinical testing or trials done. Not to mention the pharma co. has obtained full immunity by the governmnt BEFORE the vaccines hit the market. Meaning, you get the vaccine and have adverse or serious reactions(most common is Guillan Barre Syndrome=permanent and sometime fatal paralysis) you cannot sue them. You have absolutley no legal recourse whatsoever. Which indicates they already know full well the vaccines aren't safe and are covering theirs butts. an Infectious Disease expert was on Fox news a couple of weeks ago stating that more people will die and have health problems due to the vaccine rather than the virus. Washinton Health Department also temporarily suspended the limit law for Mercury in these vaccines. So there's about 27% more Mercury, a known neurotoxin and direct link to autism. CBS News just concluded a 3 month investigation on the gross exaggeration of the Swine flu, and how the seasonal flu is actually much much more lethal. they are using scare tactics to get us to take this unsafe vaccine. the CDC(Center for Disease Control) told all states to STOP testing for H1N1 back in July. Which means the supposed statistics aren't supported in any way and H1N1 cases are ASSUMED not CONFIRMED. Statistically, there have been more deaths linked with the H1N1 vaccine than the actual virus, which is something your body is perfectly capable of fighting off should you get it. When you get a vaccine, they DO NOT prevent illness. They are in fact injecting you WITH the live virus in HOPES that your body will fight it and give you immunity. It is much harder for your body to fight off something injected directly into your bloodstream as opposed to just coming into contact with it. Your body has several support and cleansing defenses. Those are bypassed when you vaccinate. Not to mention that an FDA official admitted the the supposed "swine flu" virus has NEVER been found in any animal let alone pigs. This virus was created in a lab for the sole purpose of releasing a "pandemic" so they could make billions. Applying science, just as the clever people who design vaccines do, I would suggest you were born premature with immature lungs devoid of their natural surfactant to lower the surface tension at the alveoli- air interface and probably collapsed a few alveoli as a consequence. You possibly have some element of your immune system that makes you susceptible to strep infections ( but more than likely not) and you have asthma. You believe in alternative medicines suggested by an industry led by poorly educated people who market products at you knowing that you will not ask too many questions.When you reject the vaccine you reject the clever "top of the class" type people who conscientiously develop it to optimise safety and who submit to rigouress standards, openness ( where do you think the list of side effects come from- the manufacturers) and monitoring. When you choose to unquestioningly believe in the alternative health products you put your trust in "the bottom of the class", the guy who struggled to read and write in school, doesn't know how to calculate a multiple integral in maths, doesn't particularly care where his garlic is sourced, whether its quality is good etc Now lets look at the mess the world is in- the guys in the lower grade classes in school got jobs in banks and persuaded everyone they could afford loans they can't payback. The guys who were top of the class went on to do scienec and medicine and develop things like vaccines.
