Now it reduce from 208 to 71 but the ultra sound result showing fatty liver. Please advise how can I reduce my belly fate and also to reduce the fat from my liver. Which food will be useful for me to continue use.

  • Answer:

Fatty liver disease has different causes: alcohol consumption, weight gain (obesity), fast weight loss, high cholesterol/triglyceride levels, certain kinds of medications (like steriods), diabetes, insulin resistance, certain kinds of chemicals, metabolic disorders, and others. You should be seeing a gastroenterologist. The liver normally has about 5% fat. However, as fat continues to build up inside the liver...it causes pressure there that can cause damage to the liver cells. When the liver cells become damaged, the immune system of the body will respond to this and cause inflammation to develop inside the liver. This will cause the liver to enlarge in size. (can be seen on an ultrasound or ct scan). This is then, no longer simple fatty liver, it is Steatohepatitis. http://www.gihealth.com/html/education/fattyLiver.html It would be best to ask the doctor for a pamphlet about what you can or cannot eat...or to be referred to a dietitian. However, this diet may help get you started. Bake, broil,or boil foods...avoid fried Lean cuts of meat. Fish is fine, no shellfish. Remove skin from all poultry eatten. Fresh fruits and vegetable (wash well), if not fresh...then buy frozen. Avoid canned when possible. Good oils used sparingly: olive or canola oil Cereals with low sugar content: shredded wheat biscuits, Honey bunches of oats, oatmeal, cream of wheat. Walking is the best exercise to start out with. Liver patients (USA) are told not to take any medications that have not been approved by or prescribed by the doctor. (this includes over the counter med, herbs, vitamins, mineral, supplements). All oral medications go to the liver to be broken down before going to the rest of the body. If there is liver cell damage...medications have to be adjusted accordingly. I hope this is of some help to you. Best wishes
