Itchy rash but non visible bumps?

Is it possible to have a bacterial infection (skin rash) WITHOUT having symptoms such as fever, etc.?

  • I've had what looks like a rash on one side of my face for several months now. I've applied hydrogen peroxide to it, but to no avail. I'm inclined to think that the rash might be caused by a bacterial infection on my skin, and perhaps only a strong anti-biotic would get rid of it. I want to know if it's possible to have a bacterial infection on the skin without having a fever or any other symptoms of a bacterial infection. Like I said, the rash has been on my face for several months now. It's a red non-itchy rash. And I know that it's not Eczema or Psoriasis because I've never had this type of rash before, and it contains bumps rather than just redness. I haven't been to a dermatologist because I haven't had the money for it.

  • Answer:

it could be a fungal infection if an antibiotic doesn't work.
