White spot on back of throat?

White spot at the back of my throat, strep throat or something se?

  • Ok , so there is a white spot at the back of my throat on the left side of my dangly thing ( i forget what its called :p) mymom toldmyitwas pus & she thinks i might have strep throat , and my throat does hurt, but only in the morning and at night , not so much during the day other syptoms i have are; Runny nose ( although, i do have a cold) Vomiting ( only once on thursay) Coughing ( and wheezing) My tounge feels almost like its swollen I feel weak So does it sound like strep throat? BQ- is there any other reason that i would have white stuff at the back of my throat? Thank you!:) P.S - i am going to emerge tomorrow ( doctors office isnt open - its sunday)

You might have tonsillitis, meaning your tonsils or tonsil is swollen and ifected, it can cause repeated cases of strep throat and can even make it so they must be surgically removed. It is no big deal and doesn't hurt at all!

If its hard or rough then its just plack. Just use a cotton stick and take it out. It should slide off of your tonsil. If you try to move it and it stays still then it might be something more serious

You're going to emerge tomorrow? I'm hoping that means you'll be going to the ER, urgent care or a clinic. Then that's what you need to do. We aren't medically trained and neither is the internet.
