Jaw pain from piercing. Is it ok?

Advice on a botched piercing and now to be hefty hospital bill! HELP PLEASE?!?

• So, I got my ear pierced last Thursday 2/23/12, and the piercer who did it screwed it up, and ended up getting my whole right ear infected. I have gone here before for my naval piercing, and there were no problems, the healing was normal and everything. When I got this done though, I was in pain, more so then what is considered normal. (I also don't mind pain that much) I cleaned it as directed and nothing helped. So I called a friend and asked her what to do, she told me to wait it out since I had paid about 70 dollars for the whole thing, but I ended up going to the Emergency Room because the pain was unbearable. I was not able to sleep or eat food since Thursday when I had gotten it pierced. So, when I got there, the nurse knew right away that the piercing was IN FACT infected and had been from when it was first was pierced. The doctor came in and had to basically, numb my whole right ear, and right side of my face, cut open where the piercing was and ply out every piece of the earring. Now the wound is healing, but I found out that the infection was spreading fast and toward my eyes. Ummm also I had severe pains in my jaw, neck and shoulders from the piercing. So I guess my question is, what should I do next, and for any of you who have had an infection from a piercing will your skin ever go back to normal and did you have any complications from it? Thanks!

  I am nearly certain you have an extremely serious disease. Please go back to the doctor at the hospital, you need treatment with the uttermost urgency, if I am right. Please do not delay, if you do, it might cost you your life. This infection will not clear up on its own, it has gone too far for this. A.S.A.P.
