Is polysporin and neosporin the same thing?

Does Polysporin (eye&ear) clear up sinus infection in ears?

• recently i had a sinus infection caused by the flu which gave me a soar throat, headache, body aches, stuffy nose, and tiredness. but ALL of that cleared up except for the stuffy nose. so i decided to blow the suckers out, which was disgusting.. but i ended up clearing half of the sinus inside my nostrils some how. now the next day my right ear was clogged by the sinus. i could tell it was clogged because wen i sticked my finger into my ear and moved it up and down i heard squishy liquidly stuff inside my ear but my finger wasnt wet wen i pulled it out. so my dad bought me Polysporin (eye&ear). it says its a treatment for pink eye and swimmers ear (pain, itching, fluid dranage from ear). so im wondering if this polysporin thing would actually work before i tried it. PS. i already consulted with a doctor and he told me he needed to make an appointment with another doctor which is a MONTH AWAY. That appointment is for draining the stuff outta my ear by surgery or another way to drain it out, so now im wondering this is stupid, since if did some searching online and all i needed were antibiotics and all that stuff. so just to double check if this polysporin thing works thanks :D

  can't hurt the eustachen tube gets swollen and you get sick soo try the ear drops, if it clears up lucky you if not, you see ER dr. you don't want perm damage waiting 1 mo
