I was exposed at a doctors office in the waiting room from a patient that was there at the same time I was. Since they coughed, all of the patients were notified after the fact and was told to show up at the center for disease control to have a TB test done. I was sent home and quarantined and the health nurse came to my home to visit me & check me. I was not allowed to be around anyone, go anywhere until I showed negative. Take heed, it is not funny matter and very demeaning ordeal to go through because you are treated like you do have it and you are alienated aginst everyone. Get tested for the sake of yourself and the ones you love. It can save your life honey!

It depends on the type of lung TB your friend has. It doesn't mean that when you got exposed to someone who has one, you have it too. People who have strong immune system and have been taking vitamins are not easily infected with this disease. It is important that you know the signs and symprtoms of TB but there is so called "asymptomatic TB". So if it really bothers you, go visit your doctor.
