What can an ulcer cause you?

Wiered ulcer around the lips with fever... can anyone tell about the cause and prevention? Please?

I have a friend, who got ulcer around his lips ( both inside & outside) and in his nostril ( again both inside & outside)... when ever he gets high fever.... they are very painful and takes about 5-7 days to be cured... (with or without any medication)..... this is a regular thing with him.... when ever this happens we go to the doctor and the doc. gives him medicine.... and he got cured... but again if he got a fever.... he get these ulcers.... does anyone knows about the cause of these things..... ? and how to prevent them? (he is a very clean, hygieneygine causious guy.....) PLEASE, CAN ANYONE HELP ON THIS?

Presumably the doctor has told him the cause so your friend should know , but otherwise your friend should ask the doctor for more info or go and ask another doctor. There are lots of conditions that could cause this problem and without seeing it we cant help you.
