Is this strep throat? What are the symptoms?

My throat hurts a teeny bit.. I dont see any white dots... And, the soreness seems to go away with cough drops and medicine temporarily..

I've had strep so many times that I opted to get my tonsils out a few years ago. When I had strep not just inside my throat hurt, the outside neck area also hurt. My neck was stiff and felt sore. I also had a fever and it hurt really bad to swallow. Cough drops didn't help me. I don't think you have strep, but if it's not better by Monday call the doctor. Try drinking some hot tea with honey in it (don't use lemon juice, I know a lot of people suggest this but the acid in the lemon can aggravate your throat worse), also warm salt water can clean out the sore part of your throat if you gargle with it and it goes without saying drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.
