Itchy red spots and blotchy with fever all over body on an adult?

  • Emergency Room prescribed prednisone 20 mg two times a day for four days for the severe headache that I also was having with the itchy red spots and blotchy with fever all over body on an adult.

    c pox maybe, ? no it is not shingles cuz it is only uniform to one side of body, not whole body, now if red spots are only on one side of body , maybe shingles

Crystal is not a DOCTOR. Careful of the advise you get here on "answers" when it relates to health. See your DOCTOR, if you are not getting better. Shingles generally effects one side of the body, but Shingles can cause rashes on both sides of the body as well. I have witnessed Shingles attacks of the whole trunk of the body, and face as well. Of course this is a 'worst case' , case of the disease, and took well over a year to recover from. Your Doctor would be the best resource to find out what your condition is. Good Luck>>>

Since your text is a statement and not a question I would have to assume that you are asking us what you have. You've been to a doctor and once your symptoms clear up go to an allergist. My daughter had the same thing and it was an allergy to sulfa. An allergist or your family doctor will be able to tell you better than we can.

I am not a doctor, but it sounds like either encephalitis or shingles(adult chicken pox) Never heard of anyone running fever just from hives or an allergic reaction. See a doctor fast! Emergency rooms often treat symptoms without running extensive test to find out the source. PLEASE SEE YOUR DOCTOR!

Have you looked into Scarlet fever? My daughter had it and the rash was mainly on her stomach. She had trouble walking because the lymph nodes in her legs would swell. It's very dangerous, even for an adult. Get to a Doctor, Sweety.
