Do i have cardiovascular/ heart disease?

Am I expiriencing a heart attack or heart related disease?

  • Im asking this because i smoked synthetic weed a month ago and thought i was having a heart attack, but turned out to be a heart attack. Ive checked into hospital three times and they all told me my heart was fine. However is it possible that i am devloping one? I feel like there is a slioght heaviness on my chest, and i am having bursts of sharp cramps in my left chest and lungs. At one time, ive been sitting in my chair were i noticed an intence discomfort squezing sensation in the center kinda inside my chest, not on the surface. It lasted only a minute. Also there have been periods that my chest has felt extremly compressed and ehavy, and when i took some Nurofen to rule out muscle pain i felt my whole neck chest and arm feel sore and heavy. This has been happening for the last few days, but im still able to walk around and drive around and feel fine. Im to scared to do much physical exerction. Is it likly that im expriencing a heart attack. Or is it just general anxiety and muscle pain? Can a heart attack last this long? Can i be midly active while expiriencing a heart attack?

  • Answer:

It will not be a heart attack as such but possibly an attack of angina. What you really need is a stress ECG (EKG) if you're in the States, where they monitor your heart whilst you are on a treadmill. There are other types of scan which shows up lack of blood flow to the cardiac muscle. You really need to have a decent chat to your family doctor and explain the symptoms of chest heaviness/ tightness on exertion.

Ah, yeah, you could be. I went 2 weeks abo to the hospital after having an ekg at my regular doctor that looked strange. After 3 days they said I had an infection and sent me home. It turned out it was a heart attack, and I ended up at a different hospital having a catheterization and three stents put in. I imagine that after you mention the synthetic weed, whatever the hell that is, that they tune out and see you as a drug-seeker. If you went to three different hospital it's unlikely that they are all wrong but that also looks like drug seeking behavior. If you are really worried you have to go back.
