19 years old could i have heart disease?
-
Okay well i have been having these skipped heart beats(Flip-flop feeling) and feel like im losing oxygen for about 2 seconds. Then im fine. This has been going on for about 2-3 years now. i started smoking for about a year and a half now. The Palpations (i think thats what there caled) still came and went throughout the day while smoking. but somedays i wouldnt get any and some days they were bad. On one bad day my heart did it again, and it skipped 2 beats! so i was panicking, andquit smoking for about 3 weeks while i read up on what it could. So i cut my favorite drinks(with caffiene) out of my lifestyle and chocolate because i seriously find it scary when it happens. Unfortunetaly it showed no change in the beats of my heart. So i mentioned it to my dad because it bothers me TREMEDOUSLY, he said he will take me to the doctor soon, but it was put aside and i just dealt with it. NOW yesterday i was having skiped beats more there usual, and while i was playing xbox with my brother my heart went out of control and - flip-flop-flip-flop-flip-flop-flip-flop, I dropped the controller and tried to catch as much air as i could but while it flip floped i felt like i was being starved of oxygen, at that time i was panicking and was sure i was having a heart attack, it stopped and began stopped and began until about 4 minutes went by and i was so freaked out about it.. i couldnt get up to call 911, becuase usually when i stand up my heart will beat even harder Im 19 Healthy 140pds, this really impacts my life, thinking i MUST eat healthy, taking out all the fast food my family loves, because i think one of these times my heart will just stop. Any answer would be great, thank you.

Answer:
A deficiency in magnesium, folic acid, and iron can cause heart palpitations. Even if you eat extremely healthy, you can still get nutritional deficiencies. you might want to get your nutrient levels for these nutrients that I listed in particular checked up; the nurse will take a blood test to see if you are low in any of them. Once you know which ones you are low in, take a vitamin supplement for those.
