How do cellphones calculate heart rate?

How High is Too High for a Heart Rate during Exercise?

  • I am 26 Years Old and 130 pounds at 5'6". I started Running not too long ago but I do go to the Gym a lot. I walk uphill and Box as well. I exercise 3-5 times a week and just bought a Heart Rate Monitor to calculate Calories. On the Tredmill I know I go up to 185 after slowing down. However, the Heart Rate Monitor had my Heart Rate at 208 while peaking in Mid Run. Is this too high? I have very Low Blood Pressure that I have to add Salt to everything I eat.

  • Answer:

It can't ever be too high during exercise. Good for you eating salt and ignoring the Witchdoctor!! I've eaten as much salt as I feel like, all my life and I'm 84, swim and work out daily, and feel great.
