Who has a larger salary, a heart surgeon or a pediatric heart surgeon?

  I don't believe I have seen 10 questions! However - lets look at the questions in reverse. ALL doctors have long hours when they are on call. Even when that are at home they receive phone calls from the hospital nurses regarding changes in peoples health or when a new person comes in. A doctors hours are never predictable. 99% of Doctors are self employed or employed within a group of Docs. Rarely by the hospital. Salaries? Why ask about salaries? If you don't like what you do why ask about the money? I would not want a surgeon operating on a child of mine if they did not care. EITHER care about kids themselves if not concerning themselves with being their technical best! If salary is the main concern forget it. If you grow to hate what you do along with the long hours no salary in the world will make up for it. What does it matter if it is male or female each is a unique person needed to be treated with respect.
