Should I be a heart surgeon or a pediatric heart surgeon?

  • Should I be a heart surgeon or a pediatric heart surgeon? Which is better and why? Also, what would a person going into that major in in college? Also, as I am high school, what classes and APs would I want to take? Thx!

    The question you ask, only YOU can answer. Both types of surgeon is quite different, so you must be intent on the one you really are interested in. In my opinion, pediatric is much harder since a child is so much smaller than an adult. Either one will require intensive study and excellent grades in biology and chemistry for starters.
