What is this sharp pain above my left breast when breathing in?

Chest pain on the left side? Heart or muscle problem?

• I've had this problem for a really long time, perhaps even a year or more. Occasionally I experience pain on the left side of my chest, it's like a dull pain, or more like discomfort, like I have something heavy there, like a rock or something, and it usually lasts for several minutes. Sometimes it occurs a few times a day, sometimes every few days, it varies. I thought it was a pain in heart, but I'm not sure anymore since that pain is below my breast (not above) or sometimes even the area behind my breast. I don't experience any other pain, for instance in my neck or arm. I sometimes have trouble breathing when it occurs and it's really troublesome when it happens before I go to sleep so I can't sleep on my left side. I have iron deficiency and I usually get tired pretty fast and have shortness of breath, so I don't know, maybe it's because of that? And I once strained my chest muscles in gym class and I suffered from abdominal pain in my chest for several days. But that was more than half a year ago. So, I doubt it's connected to that. But sometimes it really feels like it's the left chest muscle that's causing me troubles.
